The jazz piano icons will spend much of this Spring and Summer on the road together for what will be their first joint musical venture since 1978.

The tour kicks off in Seattle, WA on March 14 and will run all the way through to July 19, making 15 stops in North America before heading overseas for select dates in Europe, Asia, and Australasia.

The last time Hancock and Corea toured together in February 1978, the pair recorded several of their performances and released two live acoustic albums: CoreaHancock and An Evening with Herbie Hancock & Chick Corea: In Concert. Each album featured one of the pair’s favorite performances from the tour.

With a bit of luck, we could see another album come out of this tour as well…

While the North American dates are fresh, the European dates were announced just over a month ago, so our euro readers will want to act fast if you want to secure tickets. At the time of writing, there were just 4 seats remaining for the pair’s performance at the 2,000 seat Barbican in London, England.
