Marisa Monte has announced the release date of her next album.

Titled ‘O Que Voce Quer Saber De Verdade’ (‘What You Really Want To Know’), the album will be the critically acclaimed Singer/Songwriter’s first offering in six years. 2006 saw Monte’s last release in the form of twin albums ‘Universo Ao Meu Redor’, a collection of samba classics,  and ‘Infinto Particular’, a collection of contemporary spanish influenced records.

Due for release March 27, 2012 on Blue Note, the album will feature songs written by Monte alongside tracks penned by her long-time musical partners Arnaldo Antunes, Carlinhos Brown and Dadi.

The album will also feature Oscar-winning multi-instrumentalist Gustavo Santaolalla, the Brazilian trio Nação Zumbi, Argentinean tango group Café de los Maestros, a duet with Rodrigo Amarante of the Brazilian-American group Little Joy, and a string ensemble performing arrangements by the American maestros Greg Cohen and Miguel Atwood-Ferguson.

Reflecting 3-time Latin Grammy award winning Monte’s international influences, the album was recorded in a number of different locations, including Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires, Los Angeles, and New York.

Update: The album is already available in many markets, including the USA.
